Background of the Study
In the rapidly evolving business environment, digital transformation has become essential for organizations striving to maintain competitiveness. Central to this transformation is the use of business analytics, which enables organizations to leverage data for making informed decisions, optimizing processes, and enhancing customer experiences (Abubakar & Nwogugu, 2024). In Jigawa State, corporate firms are increasingly adopting digital tools, but the extent to which business analytics is driving their transformation remains underexplored.
Business analytics involves the use of data analysis tools and techniques, such as data mining, predictive analytics, and business intelligence, to extract actionable insights from data. When applied effectively, these tools empower businesses to streamline operations, identify growth opportunities, and reduce operational risks (Akanbi & Sule, 2025). However, there are challenges, such as insufficient data quality, lack of skilled professionals, and resistance to technological changes, that impede the full potential of business analytics in driving digital transformation in Jigawa State's corporate sector. This study examines how business analytics is being utilized to drive digital transformation in corporate firms, exploring the impact of these tools on business performance, decision-making, and overall growth.
